Looks like it’s been swimming in salt water.

I grew up in East Texas, north of Galveston, same climate as New Orleans.

At 101% humidity, this is what happens.  I'd not be surprised if it's got mold growing on or in it, everything ELSE down there does.

All fixable. Too bad I don't live near there.
Is that Weird Al in the pic holding it?

Do the electronics work? It looks salvageable. I think?

The electronics worked.    I don't think it was a flood victim, I know what that looks like.    I think it was years of sweat, and not cleaning it!    He said it was his main bass and has been all over the world with him.    But he could have cleaned it!

It sounded and played ok, but the frets were on the flat side from being dressed too many times.   It was salvageable, just needed a good pressure washing.

I'm glad he didn't accept my offer of $800.00.   It's not for me for sure.

He shouldn't have trouble selling it if he was willing to ship.   I don't think it had a case, but just the gig bag.   But I just don't think folks are paying much attention to Craigslist ads these days.   It seems to be all about FaceBook Marketplace.    I have a GK 4x10 cabinet on Craigslist right now.    I started my listing at $200.00 for the thing, thinking that was cheap and it would sell.    I have now dropped my price to $100.00 for it.   I have not gotten even 1 response.  I'll probably end up giving it away.   I was also thinking about bringing it to my next gig and just leaving it there.

Unfortunately I have found cabs very hard to sell as well.  I have given several away to local music schools or high school music programs because I was unable to sell them. I hope you are able to sell yours.
