gotta tell ya i thought about this one a lot.  my ideal bass would be a series II much like my ebony amazon in a balance K body with a buckeye burl top like my MKDeluxe.  so this one checked the boxes for me.  but...

my MKDeluxe weighs in at a relatively svelte 11-1/2 lbs.  i take it on stage wearing a back and knee brace and a stool. i can do about half the show standing and my knees pay for it the next day.  i practice with the SII.  kinda like running with ankle weights.  gotta be one of the heaviest and most un-ergonomical instruments i've ever played.   i shudder to think of doing a whole show with that ~14 lb. amazon strapped on me.  dunno what this one weighs but i'll bet it's close.

and then i listen to what the set sounds like played on the SII.  absolutely no comparison.

Should be in Jersey Friday or the latest Monday. The Koa 6 went in the opposite direction.

Think you are going to love it. My 2016 Balance K Series II five-string has the same wood combo and ebony stringer. Cosmetically this one is fancier but I would expect it to sound very similar with a nice punch from the Walnut and really tight solid fundamental from the ebony. Play it in good health!

Thank you. I am very blessed. I also had a nice experience via my friend Mike Albronda of Phil Jones Bass. My 2 ch 600 watt head lost output. He came over and replaced it with a 1000 watt model and gave me a great price on a new 800 watt head. With all the troubling events in the world, the good people shine and remind us of the good in the world. Like the Wickershams and the good folk here in the club.
