Europa....old model ???

I saw few pics of a 1988 Europa and I noticed few differences with the
actual Europa. The major difference is the p'ups....one PB and JB for the
one I saw.
And the electronics seem different , only 3 knobs and 1 switch, compared
to
the 4 switches (tones...etc...) you can have with an actual Europa. The
wood
used for the neck seems different too.
 
Is anybody able to confirm that ?

Looks to be an Elan model, which was produced before the Europa. Nice Walnut top.
