Another one gone

Got my new issue of Vintage Guitar today, and learned that legendary Wrecking Crew (if you'll pardon the redundancy) guitarist Bill Pitman passed away August 11 from complications of a spinal fracture suffered in a fall.  He was a mere 102 years old - and according to his wife until very recently regularly playing both golf & guitar.

By golly, that is a pretty good run. If I knew I could live to 102, (which seems less likely every day...) and still be active... shoot. I'd take that gig, fall and all. May he get some Rest in Peace after a life apparently well-lived.
