BeenDown139's maybe getting a series II bass bass sale
« on: April 04, 2022, 08:56:29 AM »
OK - i've had an interesting deal on a series II fall outta the sky, land in my lap and start wiggling.  since i live in a space constrained townhome and can only really play one bass at a time, i'm gonna hafta let some of my fretted basses go to make room.  I'll post pictures later on if there's interest here, elswise it's off to the auction block.  so here's what i got:

1976 Series I zebrawood 4-string long scale #76-270- recent factory refinish, impeccable condition with case, 5-pin cable, power supply, stereo 1/4" cable and green FretFx neck LEDs.  no breaks, dings or any other foolishness.  This bass was the subject of a thread here: https://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=24013.0

2018 Mark King signature 5-string long scale - i'm the original owner, buckeye burl top, chrome hardware, neck LEDs, all of the upgrades, factory paperwork plus case. a couple of minor player dings. the closest thing that you're gonna get to a series bass without having to sell a body part (imho, ymmv).  Here is the listing from reverb, hopefully the link works: https://reverb.com/item/25941247-alembic-mk5-del-buckeye-burl-on-order-eta-april-2021-last-one-at-current-price?show_sold=true

1983 Exploiter *MEDIUM SCALE*, koa top, recently factory refinished, pristine condition,  red FretFx LEDs, case.  Just a freaking knockout!  This one was the topic of a long thread of discussion here: https://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=26235.0
suffice it to say that all of her electronic problems have been remediated and she is a freaking screamer.

so here's the deal:  i'm looking to get out what i have in these instruments, so i'm not in desperation mode where i gotta close this deal before i can make the next one.  Meaning i'll entertain reasonable offers.  If you're on this forum, then you probably have a good idea of what the fair market value of these instruments is, so please don't insult me with a low-ball-let's-see-what-kinda-moron-you-take-me-for offer.  if you're a flipper and gonna make me a low-ball offer and/or play your flipper shenanigans with me then please don't bother unless you want your dirty laundry aired here for the world to see.  i know who you are.  however - if you're a flipper and you're willing to play straight and pay fair market value, then your money is just a green as everybody else's as far as i'm concerned.

my email should be in my profile, if it doesn't work, then reply on this thread and i'll get back to you through channels.
Been down...now i'm out!
