This IS a day to celebrate.
We are currently hiding in the Northwoods enjoying the end of a light snow and the sun is starting to cut through. Wood stove is glowing and smells like home. Last night the moon illuminated things nicely and the wolves were out. Tonight we will venture out (hopefully with clear sky’s and another bright moon) and quest for animal tracks in the fresh snow.
This morning we saw tracks from deer, bear, turkey and some type of feline.
Happy Solstice indeed!
Times like these make me wonder why I still live in a city. We are going to winterize this old farmhouse and head back this weekend…
