With the increases in posted prices for Alembics on Reverb its getting closer and closer to being able to buy a new bass directly from the mothership than a used one on Reverb.

The whole neck was replaced. Seems like maybe I read they grafted the original headstock back on...? I don't remember, it's been several years now. Like back when I got my first Distillate, I was reading all there was. I just remember weird things. Or sometimes parts of weird things.

His was before my time here, so I don't know if he was an active employee or not at the time the conversion was done.

Wow, saw that, but hadn't read the description. That seems like a lot of work! And I guess I'll have to change my tune from "I've never seen a long scale Distillate besides mine" to "I've never seen a FACTORY ORIGINAL long scale Distillate besides mine".
