Flatwounds for extra long scale

I'd really like to put flatwounds or tapewounds on the Growling Tiger, but alas, I'm striking out at finding 6 string sets that are long enough to fit a 35 inch scale Alembic.  Anybody got any suggestions?  (BTW, I've tried Thoms, LaBellas, and Roto tapes, all to no avail.)

I have Labella tapewounds on mine (Evil Twin) 36 scale.  Mica ordered them for me during its construction.  Ask her if she can get a set for you too.  I guess she has a little more clout when ordering than we mere civilians.
 
I love your bass by the way.  I was jealous as hell until recieved mine (Dark Prince & Evil Twin)!

What strings come as standard on the SC Signature model and what gauges. If you say Alembic strings then as nice as it would be to get them, the chances of finding them here in the UK is practically nil.If you know any good alternatives I could try please let me know.

Jazzy - you knew I'd say Alembic the sizes are heavy by UK standards: .045-.065-.080-.105  
 
In the near future you should have an easier time finding Alembic strings in your area.

Thanks Mica, I generally have been used to a fairly light gauge of string on my previous basses as I do like a crisp tone and string bending. However this is not an issue on my Alembic as it already gives me more than the 57 Varieties in terms of tone and the strings feel looser than my previous 34 scale bass without being sloppy.  
 
However, I do prefer the feel of a lighter gauge string under my fingers.  
 
With it being a short scale bass, if I was to change the gauge of string to something significantly lighter, my guess is that this would result in less tension in the string to reach concert tuning pitch resultng in a much looser feel on the strings.
 
Is this the case and is it significant?  I previously had a very modest  5 string bass a few years ago embarrassment precludes me naming it in such distinguished company :-) , anyway when I changed that to a lighter gauge string it lost clarity at the bottom especially when playing with heavy  bass. So I had to go back to a heavy gauge string.
 
I guess the bottom line is .... how light can I go without losing the substantial tone advantage I currently have and without compromising the playability of the instrument.?

my experience with Alembics is that you can go for a definitely lighter gauge. Partly due to the neck-trough body design. On my 5 string I have 40-60-80-100-120 but not in flatwound. I use  DR's
