Wanna purchase an adjustable nut for my bass . . .
« on: July 26, 2021, 01:10:11 PM »
I am having some work done on my Brown Bass and need to determine if I can buy a three screw(?) brass nut from Alembic.

Don't see that part listed anywhere.

Anybody point me in the right direction? I wanna buy it and have it shipped next day, or within a few days.

Thanks in advance!

Moved your question here, which is a more likely place for the powers that be to take notice, seeing as you won't be finding too may on the open market...

The adjustable nuts aren't listed because they are very rarely installed after the fact. The part we can supply is called an adjustable nut blank - it still needs to be radiused, slotted, sculpted, polished and buffed - so for professional installation only.

I got your email today and answered it as well, but thought I should include a response here for posterity.

Are those adjustable nut blanks available, say, in other measures? The adjustable nut is probably one of the features I love the most of my Alembic, and if I had a chance, I'd have one for each one of my basses!!
