Customer Service is not dead
« on: March 19, 2021, 09:55:09 AM »
Hey y'all...

I am new to the world of Alembic and posted my new bass day about a week ago.  The bass I purchased had been hanging around a store for a bit, but is in excellent condition.  I did some basic cleanup and decided I wanted to start with fresh strings.  I ordered an Alembic set and they arrived today with a lovely hand written note from Mica.  How good!  I also ordered some polish and it arrived in like fashion.  Both properly packaged as if the person doing so valued not only the thing that I had ordered, but in what condition I would receive said thing.  This is a welcome change from many other ordering experience in the past few years.

To be fair, based on reviews and reports, I am not completely surprised.  I want to say thanks!!  I appreciate the attention to detail and the commitment to your product and service.  It is clearly the best around.

Beautiful bass, wicked good tone, the best customer service, and cool accessories; yep, I'm hooked.  Well done!
Juju

Nicest folks ever to build a bass. (or guitar!)

*I didn't expand on it but should. Like Bill, I came here in 2014 after my first Alembic (an eBay find) turned out to be stripped of all its original electronics. I had that initial phone call with the Mothership, and they even knew about my new-to-me bass already. Mary put me on the phone with Mica, and a few days later all the parts I needed to fully restore/upgrade a 1989 Persuader 5-string were on the way. Just like Bill said, treated as if I'd bought it new. I hung up the phone thinking; if I could ever order a brand-new one, I'd do it. 14 months later, I'd saved up enough gig money for a deposit, and my Custom fretless 5-string based largely around that Persuader was off the drawing board and on their workbenches.

Welcome to the club, BassJuju.  My first Alembic was an Electrum guitar I picked up at the NorCal guitar show.   It had some issues with the electronics.   Since I live nearby, I brought up to Alembic.  Even though I had purchased it used, they treated me like I had dropped $25K with them!   They quickly resolved the issue, no charge!   If only other companies treated their customers as well.

Bill, tgo

When it comes to Susan, Mary, and Mica, there are simply no better people in this world.

Getting to know them just a little over the phone in my dealings with Alembic was fully half the fun of owning the two I had, to know that the people who built the one I bought used and the new one I commissioned treated me like a long-lost brother and could not have been more helpful had I been blood family.

These are exceptional instruments built by more than exceptional people, and I could never say THANK YOU to all three enough.
