Any Logic X Gurus?
« on: October 13, 2020, 04:05:36 PM »

Any experts on Logic X?

I have a track I have finished with and trying to export it to a single audio file. It is a simple track consisting of two vocal tracks and a piano track.

I have the sound balance the way I want it with the piano sitting lower in the mix than the vocals. However once I export it, the exported wav file has the piano almost twice as loud on the exported file that it is in logic project and hence is much louder and drowning out the the vocalists. Also once I've exported it then the three tracks in the project have suddenly become linked so if I reduce the volume of any of them they all move relative to each other so I can't reduce the volume of the piano unless I delete the tracks and re-import them back into my project.  Any suggestions on how to get the levels set in Logic X to stay put when I export the project to disk file.  I'm on a tight deadline of tomorrow morning and I still have to link it up to the video. Cheers

Jazzy, its been a long time since I was really used to Logic so I can just trade some ideas with you. Have you tried to Bounce your Mix instead of Exporting Files?

I also always wrote volume, pan and effects aux send automation to each channel.

Hey, Jazzy - I see Mario has answered your question, but I wanted to throw out there that one of the things I started doing since lockdown begun was to get deep into Logic Pro X. I’ve always supported it as a side app in my job, but I’ve been doing a lot of lockdown recording (finishing up my 7th tune now) and really getting into the finer details of this amazing application. I’ve refreshed my entire recording rig, and have tried to make the best of this situation.

I’m not a bonafide guru, but I’m happy to see if my hand is worth lending in the future!
