My series I short scale came with dunlop strap locks and as you can see from the photo the lower one is moved to place higher up on the top half of the edge  body and there is a dowel plug on the back of the upper horn where a previous strap button was placed. it does hang better there and has less inclination to lean forward but I have got used to the standard position since having an sc deluxe for so many years so I have added new strap buttons to the standard positions and all is good. I guess in the end it's what suits you.
