Got to open for Eddie Money at My Father's Place in Roslyn, NY during his first tour. Hot ticket (pun intended) both shows were sold out in advance, lots of buzz about this, at the time, new artist. I was playing with a country rock band and our opening tune, Cat Mother and the All Night Newsboys "Strike a Match and Light Another (Marijuana Cigarette)" went over really well but after the dope reference the set went downhill as far as audience response. Fun gig none-the-less. Eddie seemed like a nice enough guy when we were hanging out before the show and he had a good band. Despite his long career it turned out to be the only time I would see him perform. RIP Eddie...
