Yep, that's the kind of item I'd like to find at a rummage sale. 


No idea how to translate Picure, but this looks like an auction site. That's a bad break, but it looks totally fixable, just glue and clamps. And what with that paint job, it'd be a long road back to presentable. All, completely do-able. I wonder what it would take to get it over here...?

The knobs are not stock, so it might be a good idea for any prospective buyer to request pictures of the control cavity.

I swear they look like the knobs on an old Panasonic transistor radio I have! AM/FM/SW

Translation from the sale:

“The head was broken, and I was repaired with adhesive by myself and used for about 2 years, but the adhesive was peeled off at the time of string change.
 When I consulted a specialized repair shop, it was "It can be repaired at about \ 80,000 even at the highest."
 There was no problem with the electrical system when it was in use.
 There was no sled on the neck.  Two truss rods have never been turned.
 I liked it very much because it only sounds like alembic.
 I would like to apply to the ukulele purchase cost and will exhibit.
 There is damage to the individual, so how about picking up parts?  I think that there is a value of restoration because it is highly rare.
 Since it is an old equipment, I need your help by a no claim and a no return.
 Shipping is secondhand, but will be shipped in gig bags.”

Jack, my (Japanese-speaking) buddy thinks this bass is actually in Taiwan, although the ad is a Japanese auction type. Apparently it did not meet a reserve in the first attempt. (only got to something like $600 USD)


It may be physically near you...
