Why more standard points than omegas?
« on: March 23, 2019, 05:39:47 PM »
Curious...Personally I think the Omega cut Series Basses are just awesome looking.  I've always wanted one but hardly ever see one come up for sale.

Standard points on the other hand are pretty common. (I like them also, just simply like the Omegas more).

That leads me to believe that either people either like their Omegas an awful lot and are not letting them go, or there are just simply more standard points out there.

Im guessing the latter.

Are there more of these because the manufacturing process is easier for them?

Good question!  It seems the tide has turned with the balance K and omega cuts are now the choice shape.  :)

I started this thread in praise of The Omega one time. http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=23666.0

Ironically, it ended quietly.  ;D
