That site is subscription only, but here's the Rolling Stone article.  He played on a lot of albums.

Here's a video we've had on the What Are You Watching thread with Watson, Herbie Hancock, Marcus Miller, Roy Hargrove (who also recently passed), Terri Lyne Carrington, and others.

Another legend leaves. I was always a fan of his playing. I did a feature in tribute to him on my radio programme last night along with Roy Hargrove.
