My other gig: location recording engineer

Here I am with the Alembic of audio gear: Metric Halo!

Purple Squirrel with guest Fareed Haque. You can see me in the background sweating the bits on to the hard drive in some of the shots.

Mixed by my buddy John March, who also produced.

Cool!  Nice group; and Fareed is a great player.  I used to listen to him and Kai Eckhardt in Garaj Mahal.

Sweet!  As I live in DeKalb & Fareed teaches at NIU Shool of Music (where I was Recording Supervisor during my undergrad) - and owns the building that houses the local "hip venue" - I've seen him a number of times.  My favorite?  When I came to see Shakedown Street in Denver & Math Games was on the other stage.
For those of you who don't know, Math Games is one of Fareed's projects, and Shakedown Street is Edwin's Dead band.  Fareed sat in with them; quite nice!
