The Level 42 Live at Wembley concert from (I think?) 1987 is now out on DVD (finally!). I ordered it from level42.com and it came personally autographed by Mark King! What a surprise!!
He's probably third on my list of bass heroes, behind Entwistle and McCartney.
This DVD is of the original band, in their heyday, playing their biggest hits to a packed arena. Too bad Mark was playing Jaydee basses at the time (still sounds good through his Trace Elliot rig - he was one of their first big endorsees). But he is just amazing to watch - I have no idea how he plays what he does, sings lead on every tune, and is a credible frontman/entertainer. An amazing talent.
