Well, it seems that thanksgiving is really SOMETHING in your part of the world (completely understandable if one knows what it stands for). It's no usefull feast for us (we were part of the discoverers remember) but nevertheless: I wish you all a happy thanksgiving from Belgium.

Paul

PS: it's nothingfor this board but I'm a dedicated hobby-cook and like to know how the traditional Thanksgiving turkey is stuffed. Some recepies please? Post in my mail!

Well, now you're talking!  This thanksgiving I deep fried 2 turkeys.  I think this is a cajun thing and is done mostly here in the south.  I may be mistaken though. If you want the recipe for this, I can send it along. It is pretty much impossible to stuff the bird before you deep fry.  If you did, I would imagine that it would pretty much turn into a large hush puppy.  We always have the dressing on the side.  Made from cornbread of course.

As far as raising alligators, that is a piece of cake.  They pretty much fend for themselves. In fact I have them in my back yard.  Along with nutria.  No kidding.........Michael

Hi Michael,

please send along. My e-mail adress is on the profile. But (again a but ...ha) you have to undrestand that you'll have to be a little bit more explainif beacause some ingredients are not clear to me because the simple fact they don't exist here. Correction: they exist but (...) not is regular stores. For instance: a dressing made cornbread ????????????????????
Some cajun food-ingredients-dishes do make it to the other side of the ocean.
So ...don't be shy, it's no bass-thing, just people who like to cook.
I'd be glad to exchange some specialties from me (us)!

Paul

PS: whats's nutria???
Jeeeeeez ...is this a bass board?
