Jersey Deadheads unite! LOL! Just curious to see if anyone here is gonna brave the weather, GS Parkway traffic, swirling/undulating hippies (of all ages), and the suffocating (for a migraine sufferer) proliferation of ganja smoke and pachouli oil?

I'm psyched! Be there or be square. C-ya (sorry Wayne)!

Thanks, Hollis.

I most certainly will. Even without Jerry (God rest his soul), The Dead in concert always results in a good time had by all.

I loved 'em when they were in my neck o' the woods in July.  A friend of mine is heading out your way to catch three more shows!  You can't miss him, he's the one wearing tie-dye!

BTW, I love your bass!  I'm excited for you!

Hollis: Yeah, I met him and his 10,000 bros. and sis. at the show last night. The weather was horrendous (thunder, lightning, flooding, extremely hot and muggy then cold and rainy, etc.,...you know, welcome to Joisey in August, LOL!). It was a decent show: special guest Joan Osbourne showed up during Set II, and Warren Haynes was a nice addition. Lots of Beatles cover tunes and a rousing Dear Mr. Fantasy, all sung by Warren. A couple of NEW (?) tunes surfaced, one sung by Bobby and the other by Mickey!!! Having been a Dead HEad for many years (27 to be exact) and having survived the many summer campaigns, I was actually shocked to see the unwashed, unshaved, dreadlocked, batik-wearing, beer/shot/cigarette/food-selling twenty-somethings that are STILL (?) following the dead in their caravan of jalopies. I don't remember them being quite this dirty and/or this desperate to eke out an existence just to follow the Dead. The NJ State Troopers (their barracks is on the property) had a field day hasselling all the impromptu vendors selling illegal cigarettes and booze. It used to be dope! I did witness a few teens going to jail after getting nabbed with baggies filled with illicit head supplies. Some things never change.

Thanks for the compliments. I can taste it now...it'll probably ship on Monday (at least I'm I'm trying to get it shipped then) and I should have it by the end of next week. An added bonus is the INCREDIBLE savings I got on this thing! Good thing come to those who wait!

Enjoy. Maybe you'll have better weather than I did. Regardless of the crap weather and my penchant for migraines (yup, you guessed it...I got a doozy, just like last year's Dead show @ PNC...it sucks to get old, LOL!), it's all good! Even without Jerry (OK, don't strike me down from above, LOL!). they're still the Dead, and it's still cool!

Wish me luck as well...I'm going to see Rush @ PNC Saturday night while you're at the Dead Show. Oh well, I'd rather see the Dead, but heading out to Long Island on a Friday from Joisey ain't real fun, LOL!
