Just got back from a guitar show..

I just walked in the door from the Columbus (Ohio) Annual Guitar Show. It was the first guitar show I have been to, and boy was it something! Well over 1,000 guitars and basses in one place, all for sale. Unfortunately, there was only 1 Alembic in the whole place; a '77 Series I. It was a nice one, well taken care of (a little dirty, but cleanable). The price was a little too high for me though, I would've loved to have bought it. It really makes me want one!
 
Who here is a regular at guitar shows? Is it uncommon to see an Alembic at one? Maybe it's just the area I live it, but that Series I is the only Alembic I've seen around here (other than my own). Just curious.  
 
I suppose I don't really have anything important to say. I just wanted to share the experience!

I've been going to the World Guitar Show twice a year when it comes to the Bay area (January & July) for the last 4 years or so.  One Alembic is about par for the course.  The most I've seen is two, and none a few times.  I bought my first Alembic, an '83 Electrum, at the guitar show.  I've also picked up several interesting instruments at the shows.  Unfortunately, while there are more than 1000 guitars, it seems as if over 900 of them are Fenders and Gibsons.

Yeah, that's mostly what it was, and I'm not a big fan of either honestly. Actually, ever since I got my Alembic, it's hard for me to play anything else without criticism :p. But yeah..probably more than half the basses there were Fender jazz basses. There was one cool table though; the guys from the Low End (in TN) were there with some pretty nice stuff.  
 
I'm hoping to find some more guitar shows in the area soon. Most of the stuff around here is bluegrass only though..probably no Alembics there :p
