The clear is a bitch to remove. No stripper I have will touch it. You just have to sand or steel wool it off. The good news is that you can clean it up after sanding (fine grit wet sand paper, 1000 - 1500 - 2000, and then polish) and make sure no resudue is left on it (I use automotive wax and grease reomver) and then rattle-can a clear coat on it and it looks great.
