Toby, glad to hear it's doing you right...I bet it is an absolute monster with flats through a tube amp! I think you're right, Adriaan...the binding is a bit yellowish in real life, though, too. Here are some more with better light.

That finish sure is shiny! You can see my yard and my Blazer in the top one, and my door with the kid's jacket on the knob in the bottom one. I've had a chance to play it out a couple of times. In one room it sounded great, and I played it the whole night. The sustain is much better, but it still sounds like a hollowbody with flats. In the other room, it was just too boomy, even with the F1X bass knob on zero. I cut out a bunch of bottom with the Superfilter, but then wasn't left with much tone. Instead of spending lots of time to get a sound, I just played the Modulus instead. Interestingly, going back and forth between the 30" 4 and the 35" 5 is much less of an issue for me than switching between the Modulus and a Fender. The string spacing is very similar at the bridge, so it doesn't throw off my right-hand timing at all. I still have to use my eyes to guide my left hand for any major position changes on the short scale, though.
