Jazz on UK Radio
« on: February 01, 2007, 12:21:08 AM »
I don't know if I mentioned this before, but one of my other occupations is a Jazz Radio Presenter at a station in England, UK.

The programme airs live on air and on the net on Monday evenings between 20:00 and 22:00GMT.

The Programme is called NotStrictlyJazz and I play music spanning the Jazz spectrum although try to focus on stuff that does not usually get airplay such as Jazz-funk, Fusion,jazz-Rock, avant garde, World music etc etc... (Alembic Jazz  :-)) and really anything that has an element of Jazz within it.

If you have any of your own music that fits roughly into this category, regardless of instrument, I would be happy to consider it for airplay.

Hi Jazzyvee,

I was very interested to read about your show, and it just so happens that my band, Haramb?, has just finished its second album, which is due for national release, through Universal, in April. In the meantime, we need to try to spread the word through whatever means we can, and if you could give the album some airplay on your show, that would be a fantastic help! You can check out some tracks from the album on our myspace site: www.myspace.com/harambe
Please have a listen and let me know if that kind of stuff would be suitable for your show, and if so, I'll happily send you a promo copy and press kit.

Yours,

Karl

jazzy, Is your show available nationally (on the air, I can't get streaming internet at home)?

veering wildly off topic, do you two have your Stanley tickets yet? I'll be down for the April 29th show if you want to get together.
