Chuck Rainey in Intensive Care after a stroke.
« on: November 06, 2011, 04:39:47 PM »
There are some articles on the web indicating that Chuck Rainey has had a stroke and is in ICU.

Many of us are big fans of his so I just wanted to pass on the news in case anyone has not heard.

How could anyone not be a fan? He's one of the pillars of bass playing.

Get well soon, Chuck!

Been spinning Aja every time I get in the car the last few days; so glad it looks like those fingers will keep working!!

Just listening to Rickie Lee Jones' Pirates album. Chuck's playing on here is great. I really love what he's doing on 'woody and dutch on the slow train to peking'. One cool feature - the sleeve notes have Steve Gadd on 'boxes and thighs' on the same track :-)
