that's unfortunate...
I can see his reasoning .
I used to have an April Wine record that had AW's version of 21st century schizoid man, IIRC  King Crimson wasn't on the jacket credits.
At least AW played the song, unlike the predicament Fripp cited where an obvious and very catchy sample was used without even asking anyone from King Crimson.  ...bastards !!

I did like this quote from the article -

?Going back to early King Crimson, the remarkable explosion of the creative impulse came from these young men who didn?t know what they were doing, yet were able to do it.
-Robert Fripp  ( I better give him credit   )

Thanks for the link...I'll share it

Now back to setting up a reel to reel with 6 ft long tape loops .

For a guy who taught his Band of Crafty Guitarists a lack of guitar means a lack of a decent life, I think his statement should be re-examined.  It goes against everything he taught those young people.

Songs come and go fast in the hip hop world.  Old is lame in that industry.  That song lift won't really even be remembered, will it?

Corporate crap again ruins a great musician..we can well do without it. He went through some bad times as he struggled to make a living, his early management company ripped him off so much that he had to sell his Gibson black Les Paul that his mother bought him which was used on every KC album. I still am a devoted KC fan, he along with Jimi Hendrix got me into playing the guitar before I changed to bass.

I heard Kanye West was able to use a King Crimson song without his permission.
