so this is my story: when i first picked up bass (i was a guitar player in my former life) i stumbled upon a 5 string fretless epic, sold to me by a friend.
i played it religiously, caressed it, yes, even made love to it. but as i played i realized i needed a fretted bass, which I got and still play fretted to this day. and now the sad part. as money became tight, as it does for musicians, especially young unemployed students, and as my playing focus turned to a fretted sound - more funk, more rock - i sold the alembic. still brings a tear to my eye. and now, years later, i am older and wiser and a full time bass player in 4 different bands and need another fretless. So there's only one thing to do. I need to find another Alembic 5 string fretless. As would be expected, I am looking for an instrument in excellent shape and well cared for. Minimal scratches and/or blemishes are fine but above all the bass should in good playing condition. I would prefer an unlined neck, any wood, any body style.
