I can't believe it went that fast! I check Elderly's site now and then and I go to Lansing all the time. any high end bass would set there for a while. There was recently (and maybe still) a modulus that was there for months. that Alembic couldn't have been there very long. I would guess that the person selling it changed their mind and took it back. If you're really hard core about getting this bass you could call the store and have them ask the seller if he/she might take your offer. I think that the customer sets the prices at Elderly but I don't know for sure, I've never sold anything there. I hope you get it! I know what it's like to have the one that got away syndrome. I wanted to check out a series bass too so it's bad all around, but again I have a real hard time believing that it sold that fast and for 4 grand.....It would have to be exactly what someone wanted....I don't know if anyone else here lives in Michigan but it's not exactly a mecca of bass and the whole state is broke. Call the store.

It sold...either on Friday, after I called, or on Saturday.  That's pretty fast.  I have to think someone saw the link here, but maybe not.  Maybe they just saw it on Elderly's site.  Oh well.  Maybe I'll see it again 15 years from now.  You know, one reason I let it go all those years ago was that I needed a 5 string.  Now that I have been playing a fiver, it would probably be hard to go back to a four anyway.  I guess its time to start looking at some Alembic fivers!  I always wanted to try an Elan, Europa, or Essence.    What are your thoughts on those basses compared to a SI and SII?  Thanks, Allen
