Rack Mounting the Power Source "Blue Box"
« on: July 03, 2009, 08:33:06 AM »
My amplifier is rack mounted in an anvil 3-slot case.  I am considering trying to rack mount my Blue Box in the case for convenience and protection, as opposed to carrying it separately and placing it on the amp when set up.

Has anyone tried this?  Is there a commonly-used method for doing this?

Many thanks for your advice,

TTC:

Alembic already makes a rack-mount version - the DS-5R.  In fact, this is the only power supply they currently manufacture.  It has taken the place of the old blue box.

TTC; before I got my DS-5R, I screwed my DS-5 on to the floor at the back of the rack.  I had room in the back of my rack for it, and it worked well.
