I picked up an Excel five string a short while ago and put some work into cleaning it up, resetting the action, and restringing it. The bass is great, but the tone of the fatboy isn't fitting in with what I need for my current project. I am looking at another instrument that would fit what I am doing better, and might need to move this one to create funds to make the acquisition. I'd be looking for $1600 plus shipping for the bass. I'll put up a pic or two when I get a chance, just trying to find out if anyone is looking for something like this so I can figure out what I can afford to offer on the other.
This is more than I paid for the bass, but less than what I believe the value to be. If someone is interested in this one, I think we both win.
The bass came to me in a non-Alembic hard case, and I will send it along the same way.
