Can someone tell me what the low street value of the john paul jones tripple omega alembic bass on ebay is really worth ? ends 1/4/11

On the quote generator, the Triple O is a $1600 upgrade and the Anniversary electronics are a $300 upgrade from a typical Signature series instrument.  The seller appears to be waiting on the right buyer with that BIN price (close to the quoted price of a new build unless I'm missing something).

It's a really beautiful bass, but I couldn't get used to the Triple Omega shape because it's very uncomfortable to play sitting down.  Looks fantastic on stage, though...

Sounds like it sold for $3900 in March of this year.  It's been passed around a good bit... I wonder if there are problems other than the ergonomics???
