Fender Strat w/ Alembic pickups

Were the Alembic pickups installed at the Fender Japan factory? What electronics are likely to be in it?

I don't know specifics but i doubt whether fender would have installed them from new. More likely an after purchase upgrade done by an owner. It looks like the same electronics setup as mine, volume, filter and q-switch.  
 
If you are thinking of buying it. I can recommend the pickups in a strat. I have three standard strat sized ones in mine and it's incredible. that SSH type configuration is a good combination.

It looks to me like the owner purchased an Alembic STR-HG/AE-2 package and dropped it in an existing MIJ Strat.  The controls would be Volume, Filter, Q switch, and 5-way pickup selector.
