The owner has passed away and I was led to believe it is the family trying to sell the bass.

I inquired on that bass a while ago and heard from Mica that Dave, the previous owner had passed away. Beautiful bass with some nice inlays just priced unrealistically by someone who probably only took a quick look at what retail price would be if a new build was undertaken today. Sadly it's going to sit  on consignment for years at this price in spite of the 18% price reduction.

No wonder it looked familiar somehow. I guess it would be up to a keen buyer to advise the seller and maybe settle on a realistic sale valuation.

I hope it wasn't assessed at that price for estate value.... certainly at least deserves a better demo vid
