« on: May 18, 2006, 05:51:58 AM »
This Sunday I'm having a recital with my bass students. 5 students doing 3 solos and 7 duets.

Wish me luck.

Michael,
What's on the program? Classical pieces? Jazz?

Student 1: solo: un named self-composition, and some basic blues (duet with me) (1.5 years of lessons)

Student 2: duets with me: Yesterday & Black Orpheus (1 year)

Student 3: Chameleon duet with me, The Gilded Remora (self composition), 3 years

Student 4: Duet: Some Haydin overture.  I can't find my part.  It's a divided string bass part.
Duet: here's that rainy day.  4 years.

Student 5: won't return my calls.  3 years.

Students 3,4, & 5 are seniors and we're pretty much done.  #1 is in 7th grade, #2 is a freshman in HS.

I'll be using my Series I, my fretless kramer, and the Ashbory.  If I ever get hold of student 5 I'll try to work in my 6 string & my acoustic.

I've had inquiries from _7_ prospective students (including 3 brothers & their dad), all want to start this summer when I try to lighten up my schedule.  Oh, and my 3 kids want lessons.
