I see!!! YOU'RE the reason my bass wasn't going to be started 'til this week!! (Just kidding Mica) Looks like another very cool Rogue in the making Rami. Mine will definately have good company in the shop as its constructed.

To be fair though, it looks like you were waiting for a specific piece of ebony that took awhile to materialize. I was able to find my piece at the shop that day. I know they'll be worth the wait!!

We really needed the time to get all the details right.  I go more for the clean uniform look rather than elaborate inlays.  It's all about the wood.
It's going to be spectacular!

The body and the neck are all glued together...on to carving next I believe..I know Mica will have some shots soon.
I need to see my chiropractor next...I lifted it.  
All kidding aside, it's really heavy, just like you wanted it...I had to go weigh it, couldn't resist...10 1/2 pounds and no hardware or electronics yet...looks gorgeous, very menacing...

Tony was carving your bass yesterday:  

  Here's up close during the process:  

  By the end of the day, He was ready to send the bass to carving:  

 The LED wires are protected with masking tape at the base of the fingerboard.  

  Since the plates are all continuous wood, they've already been cut and preserved. Today Bob will get the pickup holes deep enough for those cool continuous wood pickups.   This is a mighty bass.

Okay ...an honest meaning?
Val and MIca are the 2 only people whop are knowing my dreams. (Why? Because I'm still ashamed to share dreams with other people, dreams who have 99% chance NOT working out. BTW that's not bitter, that's realism).
This bass is getting the closest to one of those dreams. The only thing I REALLY don't like about this bass is the headstock. I know it's a matter of taste but I HATE the cone-shape peghead. I would give it the Orion shape with 4/2 ratio and I'm GONE man ...with the nylon stockings (shut up Paul the good one), Anyway ...that's a good thing, difference in taste.
For one or another reason I would put black hardware on this. But again ...that's my taste.
I think you're gonna be a VERY lucky man Rami! Enjoy ...I hope very soon!

Without meaning to sound biased - THIS IS GOING TO BE THE GREATEST ALEMBIC BASS EVER!!!

Looks like you made another fantastic selection in basses Rami. Your wood selections and ideas for a bass are different in a very good way. I love the neck, your necks on your custom Alembics are all the nicest Ive seen and I can only imagine the tone and sustain on a purpleheart and ebony neck (not to mention the beauty of it). The wood pick up covers will look great Im sure. Looks like your twins are about to get a playmate. I actually love the peghead shape you chose too, and I think the Rogue body is one of their nicer and classier bodies as well. GL with the bass even though you dont need any luck with Alembics basses.

this bass is as close to my dream fretless as i've seen, the only diffrences would be short scale 4 with a small standard body since i'm so used to my SC standard, brushed nickel hardware, silver inlaid shell logo, and some undecided inlay on either the front of the body, back of the body, or back of the peghead (hadn't that of that yet).
 
i can't wait the hear about how this thing sounds, i just may need some sound clips from you one day rami.
