The balance should be good, upper straplock at about the 14th-15th fret. Access is good up to 21st fret.
The body will be hollow like all Tributes, and this is the same size as the guitar.
Control placement will be bit tricky with the Anniversary set-up but James does not think there will be a problem. He did say that we'll probably have to do a custom layout for the controls.

as some may care to know
apparently they have decided that this can be done as a set neck - so that old neck of mine is back in play.Which means bookmatch to center is automatic. so since my order was the 4 options 25% off i have asked val about getting gold plated hardware in its place. after seeing justins further,i changed to a burl peghead front and back.there will be a cat reposing on the top of the peghead and the logo will be placed belwo it. still awaiting on ron for electronics as i would like to have anniversary with master volume and either EMW or just a bass control knob. i dont even remember if i am getting a p/u selector... havent even thought about placement and i think i am wanting gold knobs.

well it is a first for alembic and i know they wanted to be sure the set neck would work which usually requires some test models be made to ensure the joint is strong enough- this is why they opted for a switch to neck through but after consultaions with chip and james they now felt it would be fine.... :-)

All in all, I have to say that looking at this thread is bad for me.  My gear budget is somewhat expended for the next 30 years or so, but I'll admit to, like Jimmy Carter, having lust in my heart.
