I love the colors in the ebony.  Mac ebony has such a grey-green tint that pops to that incredible, grey/gold with finish.  The black hardware is the perfect complement to that color tone.  It's a beauty.  One of those basses it may be hard to stop staring at in order to play it.

I said it before, and I'll say it again:  that is one sweet looking bass.  The black hardware is just perfect.

Thanks guys. It is definitely hard to stop staring at.

hydrargyrum

Wow, that is just beautiful.  I love the hardware with the macassar ebony.

basstard

It's gonna be a stunning bass, and the black harware was the right choice - it'll match the clear ebony fretless fingerboard perfecty! Can't wait to see it completed, congrats Dave!

Will the beauty never stop!!??
Every bass just seems so beautiful.

Im starting to ponder the same thing george!

Almost too much beauty on display here, Im starting to contemplate a life of crime to actually fund one! (ahem, just joking!)

Thanks for all the comments guys. The only thing not so beautiful is the hole i just made in my pocket paying this off.

I hope this becomes a custom of the month

Hm - as delicious as it looks, what's with the logo - not blackened?

bassjigga

I don't know. My guess is because the bass was originally designated as chrome hardware, perhaps they did the silver logo before the black hardware decision was made. If I remember correctly, they install it prior to finish so it's protected under it. I think I like it. Sets the logo off from the rest.

briant

I love the silver logo with the black hardware.  That is awesome.  I need to stop looking at other factory to customer threads until after mine is done. :-)  There are too many good ideas here.
