That fingerboard is one beautiful piece of wood! I got to play a Classico at the factory once and while I can't play an upright to save my life, it was a great experience. This one is going to be a stunner!

thanks mica. i've never seen coco bolo used in any way other than tops and boards, so it's cool to see the round pieces like that. any idea when the finish is gonna start hitting this thing?

mica

Right about... NOW

Still needs lots more finish, but you can see that Coco Bolo grain just POP now. Woo hoo!

This is the contraption that holds the Classico while it's drying between coats.

Wow, good to see it's gotten this far after such a long wait.

I saw your beautiful Classico when I visited the factory on Jan 3rd.  It's nothing short of breathtaking.  I believe it is still in the finishing stages.

darkstar01

yeah i was kind of assuming it was. i'm guessing the whole finish process will take longer than on the other basses/guitars. thanks, brian.

Still has a little time left in finish, and it just gets prettier and prettier every day!

I stopped by the mothership this morning on my way back from court in Santa Rosa.  Saw your Classico.  Absolutely gorgeous!

Not just a bass, this is an Alembic!
