Title: Cincinnati, anyone?

Right now I can only say sometime in February and possibly later this year that I will be near there.

If an event coincides with my visiting to the area you know I won't miss it!

Post by: otis on October 03, 2009, 08:01:33 PM: I'd be down for Cincinnati, for sure! That's about an hour, hour and a half closer for me than New Jersey. I have a couple of friends who live there- one is a friend of Bootsy Collins, but I'm not sure how much pull I'd have with that one...

I'll keep checking this thread, and maybe I'll shoot Freekbass (my friend) an email and see if he has any ideas about where we could do it...

The only down side for me is that my Spoiler is in need of some repairs - a knob and electronics work. Anyone know of a good place in town to trust with my wooden baby?

Post by: jameso9 on October 12, 2009, 03:12:42 PM: Hi rijon, I had an electronics problem with my Distillate in 1991 and took it to the best place I knew at the time, 'Secret Service'. They found and replaced a bad IC in the onboard preamp. Only 43 bucks and I've never had any other problems since.

A couple of years ago I heard they were still around, but the G-men made them change their name. They were off of Colerain near the Cross County Hwy last I knew. I'll see if I can confirm they're still around and under what name.

They used to do most of the repairs for the local music stores, thus the original name Secret Service. Although I haven't needed any work done in a long time, that was THE place to go around here.
