Hi,
I'd like to offer to host an Alembic gathering at my home in Northport, Long Island. My living room is equipped with multiple bass and guitar amps, a great PA, drum kit and keyboard. I can provide a drummer or 2 and the house has a great pool. I would barbeque - burgers, chicken, dogs, etc. I am 10 minutes east of Huntington and about an hour out of NYC. Not sure if there is interest, but ideally, I'd like to do it on Sunday June 26th. Northport is a very cool main street and worth a visit. Any interest? Very gracious and generous of you. I can make the drive from Joisey with a few axes.
-
Let me check, I don't think I have any gigs Sunday....
-
I would love to be a part of this, provided my guitar is done in time... Don't know about that yet!
Thanks for the generous offer of hosting.
-
I'd love to be a part of it provided I'm not performing that night, but I'm not sure how far you are from me. I live in Williamsport Pa.

I am 1 hour east of Manhattan on Long Island. You can come over the Verazzano Bridge or through the tunnels across Manhattan. Sundays are usually quiet travel days.

Todd, I might be in... OTiS might have some shows down that way, so we'd definitely love to swing by and jam. We could bring some beer, for sure!
It would be great to see you and some of the rest of the guys again. Mike Pace, my drummer will definitely be there, so you'll definitely need your bass (and that steel lap guitar you brought, last time, that was sick!).
Has anyone else from the last NJ/NYC Gathering chimed in, yet?

Hi Frank,
If you and Mike are in, that's a great start - reading the messages above, sounds like the get together is gathering some momentum. Hoping others reading can commit. Guaranteed fun, music, food and if the weather is good - poolside beverages! I just got my 74 Series I bass back from a restoration and it is quiet as can be and gorgeous.

Hi,
Given the low number of folks expressing interest and the need to figure out if I should plan for the date, it looks like this will be a no go. I count 4 responses with 3 maybe and 1 yes. Hope to see everyone soon at a gathering. Todd

I have family on Long Island and am planning to visit soon. This would be another reason to get up there. Hopefully my current project is done by then. Sounds good to me.

Todd,
We're playing a show, next Tuesday and if things go well, we might pick up a really great NYC connection. I'll let you know how it goes. If we can get a few good shows booked up your way, we'll definitely be in for coming to a Gathering. Hopefully we'll know within a week or so. I will definitely post here or email you as soon as I figure it out.
I'm quite sure I can get a few others from the Club to commit to a Gathering.
Peace;)

Hi Todd, I live in Queens, if you change your mind. I would love to come to an Alembic gathering, Epic and Spoiler in hand. DON

Hey guys i am a Long Island native and just caught the Alembic bug, in the process of purchasing a Rogue, but would love to check out and hear some other models. Even if you guys aren't doing the gathering I would love to hear some basses. Please let me know where you are gigging.

4 years gone by since the original post.... Am I the only Alembic player on the Northeast coast???? I remember a great gathering in NJ, but that was a LONG LONG TIME AGO to quote Don McClean!

There are still some of us nearby A gathering would be fun.

I get back to the NY area regularly to see family and friends. It would be great if I could time a visit with a lawn guy lin gathering, maybe even bring Woody or Old #10 along for the ride.
