Title: New Alembic owner
Post by: kylierider on December 22, 2003, 07:13:06 AM
Well boys and girls, I am finally an owner. I picked up my Alembic last Thursday. I traded in my 66 Kay upright and some cash. I sure am happy with my new bass. It is a 1982 Distillate, with Walnut top, Mahogany body and a Maple and Purpleheart neck. It has a 32 inch scale length. I am really happy with the tone (actually the many tones I can get with this bass). It is the best bass I have ever played. One of these days I hope to have my dream bass, which would be a Stanley Clarke signature.
I there anywhere I can get a manual for this bass? Any advice for a new Alembic owner would be helpful. I will post pictures as soon as I can. Thanks again.

Congrats!!  With the Walnut top and Purpleheart neck lams, it sounds like a wonderful bass.  There is something of a manual here:

Thanks for the info. on the manual. Some pictures were taken of it at a New Years party. I'll post them ASAP.
