Title: Me and My Europa
Post by: phippsyg on July 22, 2007, 05:25:50 AM
Been Meaning to to do this for a while now. Have had this baby for about a year and a bit and it is awesome. Just had it set up e-c. Recently did some sessions on it and one of the best crisp slap sounds I have heard. What amazing basses. Don't they make you want to play.

Great to hear you are happy with  your bass. When I first got mine It was strung in the same way but I needed the bottom end more than the top end so I re-strung it with a Low B - G and it suits the way I play. I agree it is a very crisp and authoritative sound for slapping.
Enjoy

Glenn,
Welcome to the club!
I have a 6 string Europa (Low B- hi-C), and I must also agree that it is perfect for slapping, tapping, double, triple and even more stops, and all melodic playing in between. A very musical and comfortable guitar that is hard to beat!

Belated congrats on your Europa, Glenn.

I've got one too, they are indeed fabulous instruments... hard to put down.
