I saw a cool thread about showing your bodies.Don't know if anyone would respond, but one of the things I love are the little details that you don't always see at the first look.I like all the logo variation available from the Mothership, and members imaginations. If you don't mind, please show your logos, and/or inlays.......

THAT is lovely!

We did lovely sterling silver ovals around the MOP inlays on one of my customs. I think it's a wonderful, albeit subtle, detail.
-
Yes, a beautiful detail Jonathan.
-
I agree!

I started this thread (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=3495) a few years ago - it's just about logos though, not focused on inlays.

These would be mine: http://www3.alembic.com/img/co_inlay_notefornoteL.jpg (http://www3.alembic.com/img/co_inlay_notefornoteL.jpg)

Very nice!

There was a bass with cross inlays in the neck I was looking for...Celtic crosses, or something like that...anyone know what I'm Gallic about?
-
Maltese crosses?
-
Good God...my auto correct changed talking into Gallic!
-
Wasn't that bass a FOTM?
-
Probably....

The Custom Options (http://www.alembic.com/info/co.html target=_blank) page shows a variety of inlays, logos and other goodies. But you can't get enough of a good thing, so I'm eagerly awaiting more posts here!

Agreed Adriaan, there are plenty out there that are unique!I was looking at Will Gunns customs, and loved that on his basses he went w/an ebony lam on the headstock w/an inlay. It really made the inlay pop.You could go a step further and put an inlay incircled in vermillion,or walnut, on a White wood,or incircle it w/a white wood on a on a dark laminate.
