I just purchased a Serie One second hand. I previously owned an Elan which I sold to buy a Curbow Exotic Petite. I was very happy with the Curbow for some time, but now I am really satisfied with the tonal capabilities of the Alembic.
 
It has a 34 neck, just as I prefer. It was ordered by Edwin van Huik from Bass Connection in the Nederlands, and his initials are on the serial number: 98EVH11852USA. The bass has the regular SI electronics with an additional Master Volume.
 
Maybe I can get some better pics some time.

Welcome to the club Johannes and congratulations on a fine looking bass. You'll find that there are quite a few of us club members in europe including one or two in Germany.

The bassound on Myspace is recorded straight from the SI into the PC. I am still trying out what you can do with the electronics. You can do so much more with it than with standard electronics. But thats what I wanted, and if it takes some time to get fully used to it, so be it. Dave Houck was so kind to explain the knobs and controls detailed to me, and the pictures are my way to say thanks :-) Now that I know more or less what the controls do, it seems like a very smart system to me.
