Title: Hello from South Carolina
Post by: medic162 on September 25, 2009, 02:01:16 PM
Greetings to all.  I'm Brian and I've been a fan of Alembic for a L  O  N  G  time!  Not a owner (check the personal info, I'm a fireman/paramedic - not a pro bassist ~at least NOT YET!  But started drooling over the most beautiful instruments made way back in the early eighties while I was stationed in Athens Greece.  Looking forward to making friends and learning more about Alembics colorful history...  Blue Skies!

Welcome Brian...I lived in Charleston from 1999-2004, and loved every minute of it.  There are certainly some world-class musicians (especially bassists) there...

Anyway, welcome aboard and good luck with your Alembic hunt.

Hi Brian,
Welcome to the forum. I didn't get my first Alembic until I was 48. You've still got time...

Thank you all very much for the welcome aboard! Mike, very cool giving me the ambition if you will.  I've set age forty eight as the dropdead date for finally taking the Alembic plunge!  You all are very correct in mentioning the drool factor.  There is so much eye candy here...  I'm spending too much time at the computer & not enough PLAYING!
