Title: Hi from Seattle
Post by: bobcat_bob on February 09, 2012, 09:50:57 PM
Hi Everyone.  My name is Bob I and just joined.  I've been playing guitar for 51 years and professionally and semiprofessionally for about 49 of those years i.e., I started getting paid to play between 11 and 12 years-old.  I love all styles of music.  I still do session work, live shows, and general gun for hire stuff.  I teach psychology at a college here in Seattle and hope to retire from that in a few years.

I want a Tribute.  I have my eyes on one online right now.  It is a new one.  Do any ever show up used?  My guess is very seldom.  Thanks for letting me ramble on a bit.  I'm looking forward to reading along and contributing.

Hello Bob.
Welcome to the club. I hope you enjoy your stay in our happy confines. Good luck on the Tribute search. They occasionally show up used. All the best,
Mike

Hi Bob, and welcome to the forum.  Always nice to have another six-stringer aboard as the membership around here is decidedly bass-heavy.  But, admittedly, you'd be hard pressed to find a better group of bass players anywhere else!  I have a Tribute that might be for sale, if you're interested.

Welcome to the Club, Bob! And to all the rest of you out in Clubland, I can attest from personal experience that ol' Bobcat is one MONSTER guitarist in virtually EVERY genre', having gigged and recorded with him back in the late '70's and early '80's (back when I was playing AC 76 405) out in Seattle!

Welcome, Bob, from down here in Portland. Always good to meet another player in the Pacific Northwest! I hope you get your wish and start the Alembic experience as soon as possible!

Nick (current owner of AC 76 405)

Hi and thanks for your warm welcome everyone.  Thanks Will for your kind words.  Will is one heck of a bass player and fella.  Gee this club would be the perfect place to search for a bass player.

Well thanks again for the welcome everyone.

Hi Bob,
I'm in Seattle as well. Welcome to the club!
I'll be playing a fun country-ish gig tomorrow (thursday) at a great new club in Columbia City called The Royal Room.
Come on out and say hi!

hello, Bob. I'm in Mill Creek which is almost Seattle. I've been looking for folks to play with so maybe all of us Seattle members can meet up and see what can happen. Just a thought. Hope you find the Tribute. Oh, BTW, I'm 61 as well. Seems hard to find folks to play with 'of an age'. Cheers.
