Hello everyone.
I have been playing bass for several years, still enjoying it since the 80's.

I don't own an Alembic Bass. But I do own a set of 30 year old set of Alembic jazz bass pickups. They still sound great. But, I do have a problem with the controls. Over the years of wear. Both volume and tone controls have worn out. They do not have an off stop and full volume/tone stop.
I have taken them to a tech to check them out, he is afraid to remove them. He say's that they are connected to the preamp and doesn't want to burn out the preamp. I also tried to connect with Alembic. They have yet to reply. Has anyone had this problem? Could use your help? Thanks in advance.

You might get advice quicker by posting in the Owning an Alembic - Troubleshooting heading but if you need to talk directly to the Mothership, it's best to call them on the phone... they are a small shop and very busy, but they can most certainly help you. Finest bunch of folks you'll ever talk to as well.
