Title: My 1988 California Special
Post by: lido on September 12, 2008, 06:46:15 AM
This baby plays beatifully and looks absolutely brand new. Believe it or not, I traded a new Gibson ES-335 for this (even up) about 10 years ago. I think I got the best end of the deal!

I like it!!  Really nice burst on there and the quilt on the maple is really nice.

You most certainly did get the better end of that deal!

wow.  mint condition.  i'm hoping to get mine somewhere near that condition.  i'm replacing my corroded out kahler system with a chrome fixed bridge kahler system.  my original tuning pegs are chrome so i thought i'd match them.  i'm not quite into gold and i'm not into the even more radical change to black hardware.

yeah, i picked mine up at a local music store for around $300 dollars back in '90.  i had no clue what i had purchased.  it's nearly criminal.
