Purchased through the mighty Will Gunn, delivered some months ago. It has the Darling body (without the heart omega carving), and Further electronics. The bottom knob blends the FX loop, rather than having an on/off switch. The main output jack is on the side of the guitar and the FX loop jack on the face. It plays beautifully, with more tonal variation than any other guitar I've ever tried, let alone owned. Another Alembic work of playable art!

WOW.
Now THAT'S unique - several great and practical ideas put together in a visually stunning package.
I also like your neck recipe.
Winner all around!
We need to see the back side!

Yes, I could not be more pleased with how she turned out. Thanks again to Susan and Mica for creating exactly what I had in mind.
Since these photos, btw, I installed a Fishman Triple Play and am running the MIDI through a Virus TI2 and the guitar through an Axe FX II. It is almost too much fun.
Here is the B side:

Beautiful! What a great piece of mahogany.
Thanks for posting.
I've got a custom Further on the way, so reading your enthusiastic remarks re: performance is encouraging.

Cool - did you customize the body, electronics, or both?
The Further electronics are very flexible on their own, and also go really well with synthesized tones. E.g. really trebly or nasal tones that I might not use when just playing straight guitar, blend very perfectly with certain synth patches.

Pickup placement and body wood recipe.
Swapped the larger middle pickup and the neck pickup for a little more beef in the neck position and a little more spank in the middle position.
Body woods are purple heart core with figured redwood top (book matched) and back.
Otherwise, it looks like a typical Further.
