Title: 810190 My first Alembic
Post by: to_81_0190 on November 14, 2006, 01:21:47 AM
This is my first Alembic.
I bought this Distillate in 1981.
And this bass is the best for me over the years.

I think these export Distillates look cool.  Nice to hear one; cool tune!

This is a solid bass, it has all the same wood. I thought it might be Vermillion, serial # is 81 0325. I am trying to find any info on this so I can sell it, I am having trouble....

I used following for recording the sound clip.

Gallien-Krueger ML260E overdrive channel for distortion.
Jen Crybaby.
Boss DR-110 Drum machine.
Soundcraft Spirit Folio Lite mixer.

rhythm part played with a pick.
melody part played with fingers.

Nice sound clip - gives me some ideas - and the KC Larks Tongues is a personal fav :o)  I have the album cover on a T-shirt somewhere in the closet.
